Keeping in view to implement the provisions under the DIP Act, 1914 in order to preclude exotic pests/diseases to save the national agriculture from an heavy crop loss, Plant Quarantine Station is located in the Malwa region at Indore (MP) and is 190 kms away from Bhopal. Export and Import consignment is being done through this Station. However, Maize, Groundnut ,Spices, Soybean extract, Soybean, Dry red chillies, black gram, Green gram, Moth bean, Horse gram, Lentil Turmeric, Basmati Rice ,Rice, Assorted products, Wheat, Cotton lint, animal feed, Assorted Herb leave, cumin, flaxseed ,fibre, mustard, have been exported and ,Cotton, Josh powder, raw cashewnut and Soybean, have been imported through this station.
Previously Plant Quarantine Station combined with CIPMC,Indore it is known as CIPMC ,Indore as per old name, but now it is Plant Quarantine Station Indore from,2020.Which is 190 km from Bhopal capital of Madhya Pradesh. Plant Quarantine Station, Indore has been functioning under the control of Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine & Storage, Ministry of Agriculture& Farmers Welfare, DAC&FW, Govt. of India, Faridabad..At present station functioning in the premises of CIPMC Indore.
The Station is actively engaged in screening the Imports at ICDs Tihi and Dhannad.
