To facilitate international market access for Indian export to
Australia, India has signed an agreement between the Dte. of Plant
Protection, Quarantine & Storage and Australian Quarantine and
Inspection Service(AQIS) on activities under the Australian
Fumigation Accreditation Scheme in India, on 16th June,
2004 and the scheme has commenced from 1st September,
2006. Fumigation certificates issued by Pest Control Operators
trained & registered under AFAS are acceptable to Australia
